Don't forget that if you can't make a particular event, you can get the map and questions from Grahame , and run by yourself before or after the day, and have your score included.

Additional information from the event team

Planners Hazel and Trevor have provided the following information:

The pub has a large car park, so hopefully most people will be able to park there. As the car park has a single entry / exit please be particularly careful when arriving / departing and watch out for runners. If the car park is full please park considerately on nearby streets (such as Cemetery Rd and Wynne Grove) to the east of the main road.

For food, there is a carvery and an a la carte menu available – please order prior to running. The kitchen is due to close at 8.30 on Tuesday (please bear this in mind when timing your run) however the carvery will be available until 9 if there is the demand. We have arranged to give an indication of numbers of those eating, so please reply promptly if you are planning on eating – thank you.

Haughton Green and Denton is a newly mapped area for NSL with varied and interesting terrain - but less hills than in previous events we have planned!

Back to manual recording of answers this week – so don’t forget your pen / pencil!

A bit of history … Originally farming was the main occupation in Haughton Green, however rich deposits of coal brought mining to the area. Farmers also supplemented their income by making felt hats and ultimately this industry dominated and became associated with Denton.

Reserving a map

To reserve your map(s) for this event, please email Grahame at   indicating the number required by 5pm on Sunday 9th February.

Please indicate whether you are likely to eat in the pub after your run.

If you are a "first-timer", please provide details of your club, and year of birth, along with your name.

And don't forget ...

All competitors MUST wear a high-visibility top.

There are no exceptions to this, and no excuse for not wearing one, as we can lend you one if you have forgotten yours.
