Schools Section

Each year, in addition to all the other events that MDOC organise where people of all ages and ability can enter, MDOC stages two extra events specifically for children. Boys and girls, who are in full time education in Greater Manchester or who are junior members of Manchester and District Orienteering Club (MDOC) or South East Lancs Orienteering Club (SELOC) are eligible to enter.

At the end of the Autumn Term there is a Score Event and in the Spring Term there is an Individual / Team event.

This spring the Schools event will be to be in Lyme Park, Disley on Saturday morning April 12th. At this event there will be courses suitable for your age group where you can enter as an individual, and if you can get other pupils from your school you could make up a team to enter the Team Competition.

So, if you have taken part in any of the local events, you may feel you would like to enter the SCHOOLS COMPETITION in April.
