MDOC Juniors’ Yvette Baker Trophy Success
Congratulations to the MDOC Juniors for qualifying for the Yvette Baker Trophy Final, after a fantastic performance in the North West heat at Little Budworth on Saturday 20th January.
The MDOC team secured first place with 888 points, ahead of Lakeland Orienteering Club in 2nd (877 points), with Deeside in 3rd (865 points) and West Cumbria in 4th (786 points).

Fallibroome's Megan Beynon secured a Year 9 Girls individual silver medal with an excellent run at the British Schools Score Championships (BSSC) in October.

Impressive results for Ben at his first World TrailO event
Congratulations to Ben Kyd who was 3rd junior at the warm-up event for the World TrailO Championships (WTOC) - an impressive result considering it included his first ever real (as opposed to online) TempO event.
In the main WTOC TempO event, Ben came 15th (out of 55) in his TempO Qualification heat and qualified for the TempO Final.
MDOC members John Kewley and Dominic Wathey were in the second Qualification heat, finishing in 25th and 27th place (out of 56), but unfortunately did not qualify for the Final.
In the TempO Final, Ben finished in 21st place - a great result at his first World TrailO Championships. Well done, Ben!
Fallibroome and Cheadle Hulme success at British Schools
Fallibroome and Cheadle Hulme juniors gained some excellent results at the British Schools Orienteering Championships at Stowe Park last Sunday, with Fallibroome Year 7 Girls, Year 13 Girls and Year 13 Boys teams all achieving gold medals.
