Event Report

Please check your results carefully for spelling/club/year of birth/correct timing and score, and let us know asap of any errors. If your score is not what you were expecting, and you don't feature in the wrong-answers list, one of us has made a mistake.

A table showing the new handicap factors for 2018-19 can be found on the Night Street League Series 2018-19 page.

Don't forget that if you can't make a particular event, you can get the map and questions from Grahame , and run by yourself before or after the day, and have your score included.

Additional information from the organiser

Planner Clare Griffin has provided the following information ...

What Bollington lacks in intricacy it makes up for in hills.  The east side of the map in particular is quite steep.  You may wish to take this into account when planning your route.  Although the majority of the map consists of well lit roads, Bollington does offer a selection of narrow, uneven and muddy footpaths.

To avoid competitors having to venture into the wilds of Pott Shrigley and Kerridge, Bollington will use a 2-map format.

It is not compulsory to change maps - there should be enough to do on map 1 for runners who don't cover long distances.

The map exchange is marked with a finish symbol (a double circle) on map 1 - please note that the exchange point is not located at the start/finish pub. If you do not want to change maps, the start symbol (the triangle) marked on your map is your finish.

At the map exchange hand in your map and cluesheet in exchange for a new one of each.

Parking

The pub has a car park with room for about 20 cars.  There is free public parking for approximately 30 cars at Bollington Skate Park on Adlington Road (SK10 5HG) and a small public car park adjacent to the cricket club (opposite the Skate Park).  On-street parking in Bollington can be a challenge.  Later arrivals should try the area around Adelphi Mill, off Grimshaw Lane (SK10 5JB), or on the housing estates off Grimshaw Lane after it passes under the canal.

Food and drink

The pub intends to offer us a choice of two or three set items: Ratatouille; Chilli and possibly a stew.  One of these will be a vegetarian option.  I’ll send out more information next week regarding this.

Reserving a map

As per usual, we need to know the approximate numbers of runners so that we can ensure that we have enough maps for all, and to give the pub an idea of likely demand for food (we'll have to sort the food details when we have more info from them).

So, to reserve your map for this event, please email  indicating the number required - and whether you are likely to stay for food or not - by 6pm on Sunday 11th November.
