Event Report

Please check your results carefully for spelling/club/age group/correct timing and score, and let us know asap of any errors. If your score is not what you were expecting, and you don't feature in the wrong-answers list, one of us has made a mistake.

Don't forget that if you can't make a particular event, you can get the map and questions from Grahame , and run by yourself before or after the day, and have your score included.

Lost and Found

Lost - a black North Face waterproof top, last seen somewhere near registration. Someone probably picked it up by mistake. Please contact Grahame C if you have it, and bring it along to the next event.

Found - a black head torch. Let Grahame know if it's yours. I'll bring it to the next event in Lymm

Reserving a map

With the Christmas and New Year festivities occupying much of our thoughts over the next couple of weeks, it is probably unrealistic to impose strict deadlines on entries for the event.

However, as we shall be without the services of two of our key people on the night, it would help if you could let me know sometime over the holiday period if you are likely to attend.

Please email Grahame Crawshaw - by close of play on Monday 4th January if possible, indicating the number of maps required.

As usual, I'm fairly sure that there will be a few spare maps available on the night.

Parking

There should be plenty of car parking at the two car parks on either side of the pub, and there is some backstreet car parking nearby. Parking on Hyde Road is not recommended.

Food

The landlord will be serving a choice of four meals, at varying prices but all below £10.

Gammon and pineapple
Fish chips and peas
a meat based curry dish
Vegetable Jalfrezi - vegetarian curry alternative

If you wish to eat, please order and pay at the bar before you go for the run, and state an estimated time you will be ready to eat, then on your return, inform the bar of your readiness to eat.  Please comply with this request.

Terrain advice

Given the recent weather, the paths that are not hardstanding, including the canal towpath, will be very wet and muddy, and they are almost entirely unlit. The road pavements should be fine.

There is a pedestrian crossing outside Lloyds Bank near Woodley precinct, plus two island crossings of Hyde Road by the Werneth Road junction.
