Terrain High Dam is an extremely varied area of mature deciduous and coniferous forest, open and semi-open fell, and sheep pasture, with complex contour and rock detail throughout. Underfoot can be rough - bracken, tussocks, heather, marsh mixed with some very nice forest floor. Due to these technical and physical difficulties, planning assumptions have been that speeds per km will be relatively slow.
Map Updated by Martin Bagness in 2003. Minor updates in 2007 and 2012. 1:15,000 and 1:10,000 with 5m contours.

Fees
The day 1 competition area is on land owned by five different landowners and the event is consequently experiencing exeptional land access costs. In addition, map printing costs are high as a consequence of the BOF requirement to print using the offset litho system. As a result, the day 1 entry fees are somewhat higher than we would have liked.
