Event Report

The good weather returned, compared to Hayfield the previous week.

Our planner Simon choose to keep all the controls to one side of the busy road for safety reasons. This gave the opportunity to go all the way down the hill and then all the way back up. On the way we had the chance to see some of the massive houses in the area. My favourite part of the area is Bradford Lane, near Bradford House is a tree carved in the shape of the Wizard of the Edge, that and the houses there are a bit more "restrained".

There were very few wrong answers this week.

If you used a gps watch, put the route on routegadget and compare with other people.

The next and final countryside score is near Coombs in the Peak District but if you want to see more of Alderely Edge, come back next week for the orienteering which will be in the woods of the edge itself, using detailed orienteering maps.
