Pre Event Info
The M60 O-Ringen comprises 12 clockwise legs around Greater Manchester. Each leg is a separate linear MapRun course, where runners choose 12 out of a possible 15 control points between the Start and Finish changeover points.
Checkpoints are in green spaces and urban streets and the maps and details can all be viewed now on the MapRun app under UK/Manchester/M60 O-Ringen. The 12 legs vary in length, but each takes approximately an hour to run. A fact sheet giving Start/Finish and access details as well as a printable map file accompanies each leg via the green 'i' button on the app.
MDOC members and neighbouring clubs are invited to take part in this year's relay, starting at Jackson's Boat pub, Sale Water Park, at 7am on Leg 8, and continuing round the circuit, with each leg starting on the hour, to finish at around 7pm back at the pub. Starting on the hour helps keep to time for everyone involved.
There is parking at each Start & Finish point, but this is sometimes limited. Each can also be accessed by public transport. Participants can also arrange to leap-frog legs with a lift-share partner.
There will be a small charge of £5 to cover map printing, donations to MapRun and support team expenses.
Entries are now open at RaceSignUp but please also email the organiser on: and state any leg preferences or queries regarding transport.
