Event Report

Please check your results carefully for spelling/club/year of birth/correct timing and score, and let us know asap of any errors. If your score is not what you were expecting, and you don't feature in the wrong-answers list, one of us has made a mistake.

Don't forget that if you can't make a particular event, you can get the map and questions from Grahame , and run by yourself before or after the day, and have your score included.

Pre Event Info

Score event with 40 minute, 60 minute or 75 minute time limit. Under 16s MUST be accompanied by an adult. 16 and 17 year olds can compete alone but ONLY with written consent from parent/guardian. Lights essential (+ back-up). High-visibility clothing compulsory.

Venue: The Weaver pub, 11 Thornton Square, Macclesfield SK11 7XZ

The event will use the traditional format - so all answers need to be recorded (legibly please!) on your cluesheet. It is NOT a MapRun event!

Everyone should pre-enter using the MDOC Registration System Select your course, then choose a start block. If you do not have your own SI card (dibber), a hire dibber will be allocated to you. This process will guarantee that a map is available for you on the night.

If you wish to run in a pair, please enter each competitor individually, and we'll sort the pairings out at registration on the night.

Entries will close at midnight on Sunday 7th November.

We would prefer to avoid entry on the day (EOD) but a limited number of maps may be available. Please do NOT rely on it.

On the night registration will be based in the pub. You will need to pick up your personalised question / answer sheet and a dibber (if requested) and pay for your entry. Our preferred system of payment is by contactless card - using the iZettle system. Cash payments will be possible, but not encouraged.

Please note that all runners will receive a map, and will be charged for it (£4 senior, £2 junior); people running in pairs will both be charged.

We will operate a 'gopher' system for anyone who feels uncomfortable with going into the pub. Please pre-enter in the usual way, then drop Grahame an email to let him know. You will either have to pay by cash - preferably the exact money, or temporarily hand your credit / debit card to the gopher who will make the payment on your behalf before returning the card to you.

Other points worth noting .........

The data you provide in the pre-entry system removes the requirement to fill in the "Participant Waiver Form".

The boards showing photographs of common control sites will no longer be used. The photos are available on the Typical NSL Controls page.

Final details - including a copy of the Safety Notice, and the safety map - will be emailed to all pre-entries after entries have closed.

It will not be available at registration. Please read them!
