MapRun Summer Series 3 in Wythenshawe Park available from 29th August

The next of our Summer MapRun Series offers plenty of fun for orienteers and runners, both junior and more seasoned.  The map is a hybrid, which for some courses includes both Park and Urban terrain.  The Park is covered by a standard orienteering map and the urban area by a Night Street League style map. For those of you who have done one but not the other, now is the time to do them both on the same run.

MapRun Summer Series 2 in Glossop available from 15th August

Well played those of you who ran the Stockport Edgeley MapRun courses. Congratulations to Marie and Trevor Roberts on successfully planning their first MapRun event. It was a first for MDOC too because we haven’t previously had a MapRun event on a standard Urban map.

The courses are not closed, so it's not too late for others to run too.

The next event, in Glossop, will be available from Saturday 15th August ...

Starting on 1st August, MDOC will be publishing a variety of new MapRun courses for you to try over the next month, on the Manchester Navvies site. There will be a variety of maps – urban, street and terrain – as well as courses from linear to score ...

BOF’s Covid-19 Code of Conduct

In preparation for the first tentative events post-Covid-19 from 1st August 2020, British Orienteering has issued a Code of Conduct for all participants in the sport. All orienteers must have read and accepted these rules before taking part in an orienteering event. However, it says if there are any changes in Government guidance, these will naturally take precedence.
