Event Report

Thanks to everyone for joining us at New Mills Golf Club last night, on a fine evening. We hope you all enjoyed the mixed terrain and interesting views from up high in all directions. Thank you to New Mills Golf Club for providing a great base and being so accommodating.

Apologies if the undergrowth has thrived in the last few weeks, it wasn’t all there when we planned it, we promise! It was great to see many new people and families coming along to try the event and we hope to see everyone back again in the future! Check out the MDOC website for future events - there is plenty variety available!

We were pleased to see very few wrong answers, which shows the planning and checking paid off! Apologies that #31 was marginally out of place on the map, although 18 of 20 managed to find it correctly.

Our favourite clues had to be: #13 Warning sign be aware of what? The owner! And please don’t forget as #34 reminded us, in the event of a fire release your horses first! We also noted that, as many of you spotted, since we checked #39 last week the price of eggs has increased by 50p, that’s inflation for you!

Thanks again for coming, hope we found you some new paths to explore.

Each control on the map will be marked by a numbered circle. On the clue sheet there will be a clue asking a question about an object at the centre of the circle. The answer should be written on the clue sheet next to the question. We try to keep the clues as unambiguous as possible. A typical clue will be;
