Event Report

Please check your results carefully for spelling/club/year of birth/correct timing and score, and let us know asap of any errors. If your score is not what you were expecting, and you don't feature in the wrong-answers list, one of us has made a mistake.

Don't forget that if you can't make a particular event, you can get the map and questions from Grahame , and run by yourself before or after the day, and have your score included.

The event will be a MapRun event (requiring SmartPhone or watch). Please download the App MapRun 6 to your phone or MapRun G to your watch before you arrive at the event.

As usual, a traditional paper-based backup will be available for those who request it.

Note that if you use the app, you only need to write down the answer if a control fails to "beep" (unlikely - but possible!). Those not using the app will need to record all their answers.

Start and Finish will be timed using SI as usual.

Registration

Everyone should pre-register using the MDOC Registration System  https://mdocentry.org.uk. Select your course, then choose a start block. This process will guarantee that a map is available for you on the night. If you do not have your own SI card (dibber), a hire dibber will be allocated to you.

Entries will close at midnight on Tuesday 26th October.

We would prefer to avoid entry on the day (EOD) but a limited number of maps may be available. Please do NOT rely on it.

On the night registration will be based in the pub. You will need to pick up your personalised question / answer sheet and a dibber (if requested) and pay for your entry. Our preferred system of payment is by contactless card - using the iZettle system. Cash payments will be possible, but not encouraged.

Please note that all runners will receive a map, and will be charged for it (£4 senior, £2 junior); people running in pairs will both be charged.

We will operate a 'gopher' system for anyone who feels uncomfortable with going into the pub. Please pre-enter in the usual way, then drop Grahame an email to let him know. You will either have to pay by cash - preferably the exact money, or temporarily hand your credit / debit card to the gopher who will make the payment on your behalf before returning the card to you.

The boards showing photographs of common control sites will no longer be used. The photos are available on the Typical NSL Controls page.

Final details - including a copy of the Safety Notice, and the safety map - will not be available at registration, it will be emailed to all pre-entries after entries have closed.
