Event Report

Many thanks to all those of you who came along to yesterday evening's Spunch at Alderley Park.

It was great to see so many regulars and yet more newcomers.  (Over 150 of you in total, counting partners, kids, friends etc)

The manicured surroundings, and the very-Cheshire venue make it a welcome addition to our increasing Sportfolio of Spunchsites! 

Well done to all - maybe especially to Nathanael with his 4.6 mins / k and the young Duncan Brothers covering 10k in the Spunch60.

Also to Wang Ki in the Spunch90, who being new to the UK, had to get to grips with the rather-more-vague OS mapping style.

The links to the new format MapRun results are above.  Sometimes the results take a little while to load, but when you get there they are very comprehensive including split times, GPS tracks etc!  If your result is not shown, it may be that you need to do a manual upload from your MapRun app.

Big shout outs to Becky & Neal at the Churchill Tree for their warm hospitality and excellent food.  Also to Christina at Bruntwood (Alderley Park) for welcoming us onto the Estate.  We hope to be back soon (please)!

Finally to Mike Greenwood the course-setter, and the control-site checkers, MapRun/VAR experts, Printers, and on-the-day helpers (you know who you are).

So......what's up next?

Wednesday 14/6 Summer Evening Spunch3 - New Mills & Mellor Moor. The Fisher family are keen to share their local knowledge of their "back yard" with us all.  Event Centre at the New Mills Golf Club.  Loads of free parking on-site.  There may be hills.  There will definitely be ice creams!  Entries are open now at https://www.sientries.co.uk/event.php?elid=Y&event_id=11744

Seniors £5, Age 16-20/students £3 (up to midnight on 16th May).

From 17th May and on the day: Seniors £6, Age 16-20/students £4.

Under 16s go free but must be accompanied by a paying adult.
