Gold for Andrew and Vicky at the British Champs

The 2017 British Championships were held in the Finsthwaite valley in the South Lake District over the weekend of 6th/7th May. Challenging courses for the Long Distance Race on High Dam were planned by John Britton, assisted by Ian Gilliver.

In M80, Andrew won for the 2nd year running, finishing a full nine minutes ahead of Bill Vigar (QO) with Philip Thompson (EPOC) another sixteen minutes behind in 3rd place.

Vicky also had a convincing win on W55L finishing four and a half minutes ahead of Charlotte Somers-Cocks (LOC) with Alice Bedwell (BOK) in 3rd place.

Matthew Fellbaum, 2nd on M20E (running for EUOC)
Peter Bray, 3rd on M21E
Jillyan Dobby, 3rd on W65L
Rae Lomas, 2nd on W75

The Relay Championships were held at Summer House Knott on Sunday 7th May.
