Introducing the M60 O-Ringen
An exciting new twelve-leg navigational challenge around Manchester has just been launched - the M60 O-Ringen. To complete a leg, runners have to choose 12 controls to visit out of a possible 15. Each leg starts/finishes in a public park and the clockwise route of the 12 legs is never far from the line of the M60 motorway, with leg 1 starting at the top of the 'clock' in Heaton Park ...
Using the MapRun app to check runners have visited controls and provide results, the project is the brainchild of MDOC member Peter Ross, who is the MapRun coordinator for Manchester.
Each leg of the M60 O-Ringen can be run or walked as a stand-alone activity at any time, or leg-by-leg as a personal challenge. It is also hoped that it will attract people wanting to circumnavigate Manchester as part of a relay team.
