MapRun Summer Series 3 in Wythenshawe Park available from 29th August
The next of our Summer MapRun Series offers plenty of fun for orienteers and runners, both junior and more seasoned. The map is a hybrid, which for some courses includes both Park and Urban terrain. The Park is covered by a standard orienteering map and the urban area by a Night Street League style map. For those of you who have done one but not the other, now is the time to do them both on the same run.
The Yellow, Orange and an imaginatively planned Light Green course make good use of this lovely, runnable and leafy park and stay safely within its bounds.
The MapRun settings on the Orange and Yellow can be set in a novice-friendly way so that runners will be able to see their whereabouts on their smartphone screen - should they choose to do so.
The longer courses (Red and Long Light Green) will use a hybrid map which includes both a standard orienteering map for the park sections and a Night Street League-style map for the urban section.
Final details are now available on the Navvies website https://navvies.org.uk/SummerSeries.php
and the courses will be available there from 8pm on Friday night ready for those wanting to run the courses on Saturday.
