MDOC in the Hungarian TORUS TempO Trophy 2025 - June

Last Wednesday saw another round of the Hungarian TORUS TempO Trophy, with 4 MDOC members part of a field of ~450 competitors having a go at this month’s course. This time, Zoltán had prepared 6 stations in an “Urban Park Area” of Budapest, with lots of stairs, buildings and walled flowerbeds, plus a station in a more open area with scattered bits of ruins ...

01st Jul 25

The best MDOC performance came from Ben Kyd again, although 3 mistakes saw him take 5th place this time, with a time of 216 seconds (including the 90 second penalty). Both Sam Drinkwater and Mike Greenwood had less mistakes than Ben, but with longer times they places 30th and 96th respectively, and John Kewley’s longer times and more mistakes saw him down in 152th place.

Ben is still ahead at the halfway point in this series, now with a total score of 497.9 (out of a possible 500 at this stage). Sam has moved up to 18th with 461.41, and John has slipped down slightly to 62nd with 436.64, but still holding the 3rd placement for MDOC in the top 100. MDOC are still 1st overall in the club competition with 1399.05, and GBR 3rd in the country competition, though have closed the gap on the Czechs to be just under a point. We shall see if they can take 2nd place when the next event comes around at the end of July.
