Orienteering Club

MDOC Social Saturday 10th January 2026

This is our opportunity to get together, meeting old friends and new, with some simple food and fun entertainment and celebrate our successes of the orienteering year just gone. In 2026 we return to High Lane Village Hall with catering providing a choice of 3 main courses including gluten-free and vegetarian. We ask that you bring your own beverages (alcoholic or non alcoholic as preferred) to have with the meal. Please also bring your own glasses/tumblers. Tea, coffee and cordial will also be provided

30th Nov 25

The MDOC Social event at the beginning of the year provides a great opportunity for us to celebrate the successes of our members with our Annual Awards Ceremony, including those who have excelled in the MDOC Champions League and other achievements.

Bake-Off Competition features once again so we ask you all to consider bringing a bake decorated with an orienteering theme to be in with a chance of winning a prize. All the bakes will then be shared for our dessert. Those of you who have not participated in this competition before can seek inspiration from pictures in the MDOC Newsletter Archive (Feb 2018, April 2019) available on our website. If you are not a baker, you can even make things easy by buying something and then decorating it.

There will be some fun quizzes, suitable for adults and children with prizes to be won on the night. And for those of you who find it difficult to sit still for too long we have a Ceilidh band with caller to get us all stepping out to some jigs and reels.

We hope to see you all there!
