Event Display Options

Switch on the ‘Display present location button’ if you want the app to display your position on the map as you progress around your course

Preferences

Check that your phone notifications work.  MapRun produces four notifications to record a visit to the Start, the Finish or a Control. There is vibration, the colour of the control changes from magenta to green on the display map, a notification pop-up is sent to the phone’s screen, and a sound (of your choice) is produced.

               Notifications could fail because:

               The phone is in mute mode

               The phone’s volume is turned down

               The phone’s notification volume is turned off/turned down

               The phone is not allowing the App to generate some/all notifications

Doesn’t punch at a control?

Occasionally MapRun does not record a visit when it should. It’s a nuisance, but one that can be remedied by the MapRun Administrator at Registration.

Download Course A, Course B and/or Course C

Use the ‘Select Event’ button on the App and choose the folder UK>Manchester>Summer Parks 2026> the park name> and then either Course A, Course B or Course C
The three courses can also be found on the App by using ‘Events Near Me’ but take care because MapRun has a generous take on ‘near me’.
Use the QR codes which will be on display at Registration

MapRun Results

The results can be accessed from the App. Just click on ‘Show Results’

Also available from your PC – and highly recommended – are the results accessed from the MapRun web site. https://results.maprun.net (or search MapRun and click on ‘MapRun Results’).

Use the drop-down menu to find your event. Click on ‘Show Tracks’ to display your tracks and all the others too. Click ‘Replay’ for an animated display!
