Club awards for 2025
Congratulations to the winners of the 2025 Club Champions League. The top three in each class* have been awarded mementos and prizes, which were presented at the Winter Social on 10th January, along with other prizes and awards - including the Chairman's Award, and a number of special awards nominated by club members - namely Planner of the Year, Organiser of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Outstanding Achievement, Team of the Year ...

2025 Club Champions League
Prizes were also awarded to three older juniors for their results in the Open class of the league: Teddy Hall, Blake Edwards and Sophie Gray.

Chairman's Award
At the Social, David Wathey announced the winner of the Chairman’s Award for 2025, the Pete Conway Trophy, to be Tony Wagg for his long service to the club. Tony was club secretary for 12 years and has been the co-ordinator of the Summer Series for many years.
In addition, special awards nominated by club members were made in the following categories:
Planner of the Year: Jim Trueman Commendation: John Britton
Organiser of the Year: Marie Roberts Commendation: Chris Rostron
Volunteer of the Year: Guy Lingford Commendation: Rae Lomas
Outstanding Achievement: Alain Kyd Commendations: Michele Corrigan, Ben Kyd
Team of the Year: Sophie Gray, David Gray, David Isherwood, Ben Kyd (Scout event team)
Team commendations: Tom Fellbaum, Matthew Fellbaum, Duncan Birtwhistle (JK Relay team); Trevor & Hazel Hindle, Trevor & Marie Roberts, John Britton, Chris Rostron (Urban Weekend team)
Most improved performance awards were also made based on analysis of results from a wider range of events than those selected for the league.

Most improved performance (Women): Kate Ansac England Commendation: Hazel Hindle
Most improved performance (Boys): Tristan Manning Commendations: Luca Owen, Alfie Dove, Blake Edwards
Most improved performance (Girls): Eva Millington Commendation: Sophie Gray
The winners of the O’-themed cake competition at the Social were the Farrell family in the Junior category and Kate Bryant but they all looked (and tasted) pretty good!
*For the last few years of the Club Champions League, Junior boys’ and girls’ awards have been by colour-coded class; results of older juniors and adults able to complete events at the top technical difficulty are grouped as an Open class in the 12 selected events.
