Parking will be free in the Rugby Club grounds.
Registration & Start Times
Registration and collection of hired/borrowed dibbers will be in the Rugby Club
Registration will open at 10:00
There will be one start location 100m walk from the assembly with no climb. Follow the tapes.
Start times will range from 10:30 to 12:30
Courses will close at 14:00
The walk back to assembly will be 800m with no climb.

Explanation of colour courses
- White are very easy with all controls on paths. They are mainly used by 6-10 year olds and family groups.
- Yellow use simple linear features like paths, walls and streams. They are mainly used by under 12’s and family groups.
- Orange progress to basic use of the compass and route choice. They are ideal for novice adults or experienced youngsters.
- Light Green are ideal for improvers as the navigational difficulty begins to increase and uses simple contours and point features.
- Green are used mostly by experienced under 18’s and adults wanting a short but challenging course with a very hard navigational difficulty.
- Blue are a longer, more physically demanding course in comparison to the green. The distances are more varied between controls and the course attracts experienced orienteers.
- Brown & Black are very physically demanding and have a very hard navigational difficulty. They are for experienced orienteers only.
- Score means visiting as many controls as possible in any order in a specific time, like 45mins.
Entry Details
Pre enter at Racesignup. Enter by your urban class (or optionally any of the Open cources.You will be deemed to be non competitive) and you will be asked to select your own 15 minute start time block.
Fees are Adult £10, Junior £5
Terrain Description
The event will take place in a residential district on the western outskirts of Macclesfield.The area is a complex network of residential roads, walkways, and public green spaces and largely flat.
Facilities
Toilets are in the Rugby Club at assembly or at the nearby Leisure Centre.
First Aid will be at assembly
Dogs allowed?
No dogs to be taken on the courses.
