Sprint Champs - M/W50 podium, Source:

British Sprint and Middle Championships 2015

3 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze for MDOC

Heather Fellbaum (W50) and Andrew Gregory (M80) both had excellent runs at last Saturday's British Sprint Championships at Aldershot Garrison to win their respective classes. Andrew had another brilliant run on Sunday in the Middle Distance Championships at Naphill and Park Wood, High Wycombe, again winning his class - more than five minutes ahead of his nearest rival.

JK selected for the 2015 World Trail-Orienteering Championships

MDOC's John Kewley (JK) has been selected for the 2015 World Trail-Orienteering Championships (WTOC) in Zagreb, Croatia from 23rd to 27th of June. Unfortunately it is not co-located with WOC 2015 so JK doesn't have the opportunity to compete in front of his "home crowd" in Scotland.

Vicky Thornton, W50L British Champion, Source:

British Champs Weekend 2015

in the Forest of Dean

The Long Distance event was held at New Beechenhurst in the Forest of Dean last Saturday (18th April). Vicky Thornton had a brilliant run to become the new W50 British Champion. Andrew Gregory took 2nd place in M80. The Relays at Cannop Ponds on Sunday produced more medal-winners for MDOC with three of our teams achieving podium places.

World Schools Champs - Matthew 21st (1st Brit) in Long Distance

The Long Distance race at the ISF World Schools Championship event in Turkey took place on Monday 20th April. MDOC's Matt Fellbaum was 21st out of 65 athletes - 1st Brit - in the M1 Selected category.

Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers 2015

Richard and Jenny Gibbs are collecting Sainsbury's Active Kids Vouchers for MDOC again this year - over the past three years we have been able to get sets of free kites. So if you shop at Sainsbury's ask for them at the check-out, smile nicely and you may get more! You can also get them if you shop online.
