Winter MapRun Series suspended
In accordance with the latest BOF Guidance on the Suspension of Competitions Activities in Tier 4 areas in England (see below), the MDOC Winter MapRun Series has been suspended until further notice.
Night Street League 2020-21 - Cancelled
When we postponed the start of the NSL Series 10 (20-21) at the end of October, we hoped that the Covid situation would be clearer by Christmas. Sadly, this has not proved to be the case - the virus's reluctance to go away, a new variant threatening increased infection rates and government guidelines still strongly advising against travel between tiers, continue to cause problems for us.
After discussions on the possible alternatives, the organising team has decided to cancel the series for 2020-21, and re-introduce it (almost oven-ready!) in 2021-22.
Ben finishes in 5th place and Best Brit. in TORUS Advent Calendar
Congratulations to Ben Kyd who finished in 5th place, in a field of 523 from all over the world, in the TORUS Advent Calendar - a 24-day Virtual TempO competition.
Two other MDOC members achieved top-100 places - John Kewley was 81st and Dominic Wathey 94th. In total, 14 members of MDOC took part and we finished 3rd in the clubs competition.
